Nutrition and infection control… CNA Classes in MT

You can be a certified nurse assistant in the state of Montana, provided you have completed state and federal approved 75 hours training programs, appeared and passed the state Certification exam after completion of the training program. Accordingly, you will be automatically get registered with Montana Nurse Aide Registry and get legal permission to work in numerous health care facilities throughout the state.

The Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services has the responsibility to approves numerous CNA Montana training programs offered by various schools, technical institutes and colleges all over the state. The agency also manages, regulate and maintain Montana  Nurse Aide Registry, which lists all CNAs.

The basic component of the training program consists of

  • Accreditation of the CNA program
  • Classroom theoretical course instruction
  • Clinical hands-on experience
  • Training program supervision by a LPN or RN

If you are working in any Montana long term care facility or hospital as a nurse aide, you must get certified within four months of the employment and to get duly certified you need to complete training programs and obtain certification.

It must also be noted that this state has not made CNA training mandatory for certification, but for getting certified, you must be competent on all practical nursing care skills required for offering safe and quality routine cares to patients. If you are not competent enough in these skills, you need to complete training programs and sit again for the certification test.
