If you are residing in the state of Oklahoma and aiming to enter health care field, the first step for your health care career is to complete state and federal OBRA-87 approved CNA Training Oklahoma , which includes classroom and hand on clinical trainings programs. It is the responsibility of Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) to approve, manage and regulate competency evaluation program Oklahoma State.

There are numerous schools, community colleges, high schools, trade schools and long term care facilities that offer state and federal approved training programs.

The basic components and necessities of training programs consist of:

• 75 to 120 hours of total training duration as per training provider institute.
• Classroom theoretical instruction
• Clinical hands on experience.
• 4 weeks of daytime attendance
• 10 weeks of evening classes.
• Criminal background check report
• A tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
• Basic life support certification, CPR.
• A reading assessment with a satisfactory minimum score of 70.
• 10 hours of training devoted exclusively to Alzheimer’s education.
