As we all are aware that, the students desiring to become certified nursing aides should go through a federally approved CNA program according to the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA), 1987. The students willing to go for CNA training Massachusetts should go for a CNA program approved by Office of Health and Human Services, Massachusetts.

As it is mandatory, the CNA training program of Massachusetts should be of 75 hours duration. The CNA program includes both classroom instruction and clinical hands on experience. The main subjects that are covered in the CNA program are basic nursing skills, infection control, restorative services, patients’ rights and others. With this, the students also get opportunity to work under the supervision of a nurse educator, thus practicing the skills perfectly.

After the CNA program, the students are required to appear for the certification examination held by the state. The exam is mandatory to get the certification. The exam has two parts i.e. written and performance tests. On successful completion of exam, the students get their names placed in Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry.
